Treatment Methods: Dr. Rothweiler specializes in the application of methods with empirically demonstrated effectivness. Methods include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Behavior Therapy (BT); Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT); Interpersonal Therapy (IP); Solution Focused Therapy; Hypnotherapy; Motivational Interviewing; Various forms of relaxation and autonomic nervous system balance, including but not limited to, biofeedback training.
Populations Served: Dr. Rothweiler focuses on increasing or enhancing adult and adolescent patients' resources to cope with difficulties and to improve performance and life quality. The primary areas addressed include, but are not limited to, Increased self-efficacy; Mastery of chronic pain coping skills; Mastery of trauma, various phobias, and general anxiety (e.g., PTSD, driving phobias, shy kidney, panic disorders, anxiety management); sleep disorders, depression, chronic coping problems (i.e., Axis-II) , smoking cessation, medical compliance problems, weight loss, anger issues, improvements in attention, concentration and memory. Dr. Rothweiler also works with couples and families.
